First college dorm:

This friend we were bound to outgrow.
It's time for someone to inherit
this lovely adorable parrot.
He's got every hue:
Red, yellow and blue.
Maybe he'll end up in Merritt.

My Mum just called to let me know the error of my ways.
As a result I will add this third limerick now...
There once was a mother who read

That bird is a toucan
I think that you can
change it from parrot instead!
